The Christmas season is one of Tulsa’s merriest times of year. Join in the festivities as one of the most widely celebrated Christmas traditions hits the streets. This joyous and yearly celebrated Christmas parade will be held in Sand Springs this season. There will be more than one hundred parade entries, all in holiday themes such as Christmas light displays, marching bands, and decorative floats. Bring all your family and friends, since this event is truly for the young and the young at heart!

The cheerful variety of decorated floats, live marching bands with drill teams and dancers will surely make make for an unforgettable evening. Don’t forget to catch the display of gigantic helium balloons which are always crowd favorite. See the night sky decorated with these huge balloons, amazingly displaying themselves as crowds gather on the streets of downtown Tulsa along the route parade. Don’t hesitate to join in the fun and have some quality family bonding time while celebrating the spirit of Christmas this holiday season.

This event is in its 32^nd year, making the Festival of Lights Christmas Parade one of the oldest Christmas tradition in Tulsa. This parade usually features over 100 entries marching along a 1.1 mile route downtown. The theme would be “Sounds of the Season” which is aimed to entertain and excite with amazing holiday music!

The parade will start from Adams Rd. and Charles Page Boulevard at 7:00 in the evening this December 5th. It will proceed downtown to Page Triangle and finally disband at the intersection of First Street and Main Street. The Sand Springs Area of Commerce will be sponsoring this festival in which they are still accepting applications for participation in the float and marching band. $100 will be the prize for the best entry into the parade.
