Join the holiday festival and market taking place in the Hardesty Arts Center. Have an extraordinary holiday shopping experience that is fully unique with local art displays and make-and-take craft activities. These small workshops are not only centered around adults but are also aimed at children, featuring fun pop-up art classes that will surely be enjoyed by your kids. Much artwork from across the city will be on display and for sale; perfect gifts for any family member or friend that is an avid art lover. These amazing works of art are all from local Tulsa artists and surrounding areas.
AHHA or the Arts and Humanities Council of Tulsa is the sponsor of this event. They have been making the arts accessible for all Tulsa residents and its diverse demographics for years. They have a wonderful goal of seeing 100% of Tulsa’s school-aged children have access to the arts anywhere and anytime, specifically at school, after-school and during weekends and the summer. This is for the purpose of improving self-esteem and the expression of feelings and communication. They conduct workshops that follow public school curricula providing the teachers with the needed skills to assist students to pass the Priority Academic Student Skills art objectives.
They provide their art programs to those that need it most, which includes at-risk and underserved communities, safe homes, residency homes, after school care, community centers and juvenile centers. They give anyone and everyone the opportunity to experience the wonder of art regardless of socio-economic status or physical ability. Join them this December 11th and 12th and support this worthy cause.
