New Sports Center in Tulsa Celebrates Groundbreaking Ceremony
Sports centers and recreational facilities provide great gathering places for the community to enjoy. Centers with a variety of features and convenient amenities allow many people to play their favorite sports in one location, making it easy for them to enjoy multiple hobbies and meet people with similar interests.
A new Titan Sports and Performance Center will soon be constructed at 81st and Elwood, and it will be the largest of its kind in the state. A groundbreaking ceremony was held this past week to officially commence the construction of the new center, which is expected to finished by next summer. According to Mayor Dewey Bartlett, the city hopes to bring in at least 50 jobs as a result of the new center, and there is also projected annual revenue of $6 million.
Titan Sports and Performance Center will include 38 indoor and outdoor fields. There will be 10 outdoor soccer fields, 2 outdoor lacrosse fields, 16 volleyball courts, 8 basketball courts, and 2 indoor soccer fields. The 175,000 square foot center will also host state and regional games for basketball and soccer. Also included will be a fitness center, athlete training center, and sports medicine hub.
