Emerald Falls Golf Course Enhanced by New $122 Million Resort

Emerald Falls Golf Course Enhanced by New $122 Million ResortAn elaborate ceremony is to be held this spring for a $122 million resort situated next to Emerald Falls Golf Course. This luxurious destination is located on 420 acres of rolling hills southeast of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The golf course was recently closed and will be undergoing extensive renovations for an estimated time of twelve to eight-teen months.

Project officials are planning the renovation and are being consulted by professionals from Nicklaus Design. Founded and run by American professional golfer Jack Nicklaus, Nicklaus Design has planned projects for more than 380 golf courses in 36 different countries. The final proposals of the team will be expected no later than April 2014.

The golf course will soon serve as a feature to the new resort, which will comprise 140 luxury rooms. The resort will also have amenities such as horseback riding, game bird hunting, fishponds, pools, tennis courts and a spa. David Oberle, a projects director who has been involved in Real Estate development for the past 15 years, stated that the $122 million resort will not be similar to any other resort since the overall design will be incorporated with Oklahoma?s history and landforms. A group of private investors have also confirmed to aid in the funding of the resort. They have made sure that the resort will be developed into a venue that will entice visitors to commute, despite the distance.

The improved golf course will still be open to the public at least several days a week and the management will offer memberships and resort play to golf enthusiasts. Plans have also been made to include an upscale senior living center and a shopping village. Oberle stated that they have no plans of creating a casino inside the resort. Instead, a new clubhouse will be created in addition to the golf school with an extensive indoor teaching facility.

The project will offer more than 2,200 jobs from construction through permanent operation. The opening date of the golf course is set for the late summer or fall of 2015.  The resort will begin providing services in the spring of 2016. These dates are still tentative.
