First Friday Art Crawl Features Oh, Tulsa! Art Exhibit
What makes a city beautiful are the lovely scenery and attractions that make tourists come back and a local pride in the city. In Tulsa, there are a lot of beautiful places and things that capture an artist’s eye.
This coming Friday is the First Friday Art Crawl in the Brady Arts District, and there is a very special exhibit awaiting! Living Arts will be showcasing its annual Oh, Tulsa! art exhibit, which centers on the beauty and history of Tulsa. The show is a display of various art forms featuring some of the destinations and popular landmarks within and near the city. The art forms vary from paintings and jewelry to video and photography created by Tulsa artists themselves.
In the past, some of the most popular subjects have been Tulsa’s famous Art Deco architecture and scenes from the oil and gas industry. These inspirations behind the art emerge in new and exciting forms, and most of the works are available for both viewing and purchase.
The exhibit is a juries show, and three artists will be awarded with the “Uniquely Tulsa” awards of excellence.
The Oh, Tulsa! Art Exhibit will open on Friday, August 7, at Living Arts on M.B. Brady Street and will run through August 28.
