Making improvements to the city  is one of the top priorities for Tulsa city leaders as they look for ways to attract more people to the community. When improvements are made, the quality of life increases, there are more things to do, and it causes more businesses and tourists to consider establishing themselves in Tulsa and contributing to the economy.

Tulsa city leaders are  currently exploring the best ways to allocate sales tax revenue, and they are seeking ideas from citizens at public town hall meetings. There will be four meetings total, and the first one already produced a lot of great ideas to consider.

According to Leanne Benton, President of the Pearl District  Association, the organization wants to enhance the 6^th Street and Peoria area as a new bustling neighborhood for residences and businesses. Constructing a drainage canal is one improvement they would like to see in order to reduce flooding in the area.  

There have also been suggestions of constructing a visitor center in one of the historical buildings in Downtown Tulsa. In addition, public transportation and walkability have topped the list of improvement ideas presented by citizens.

City leaders are asking for more improvement ideas, and anyone who wants to voice their ideas can do so by attending the meetings or submitting their ideas on social media.
