Rush to Perform Live at BOK Center for R40 Live Tour
Do you feel the rush? If not, you will! Rush is coming to the BOK Center in Tulsa on May 8th, and the concert will be kicking off their 34-city North American R40 Live Tour as the first stop! The tour is celebrating the band’s 40th anniversary of making music.
Rush formed in August 1968 with original members, Alex Lifeson, Jeff Jones, and John Rutsey. Soon after, both Jones and Rutsey were replaced by Geddy Lee and Neil Peart, and they’ve been together ever since. Lifeson is on lead guitar, Lee is on vocals, keyboard, and bass, and Peart is on drums.
Rush released its first single, “Not Fade Away”, in 1973. In 1974, their first, self-titled album was released. Though the band didn’t reach massive popularity with their first few albums, they had their breakthrough with their album called “2112”. The band began touring the world and made their first live album in 1976 called “All the World’s a Stage”.
Join Rush at the BOK Center this Friday, May 8, at 6:30pm.
