Tulsa Celebrates Route 66 PatriotFest
In celebration of Memorial Day, Tulsa will be giving honor to some of its heroes this weekend at the Annual Route 66 PatriotFest in the historic Red Fork area along Route 66. It will be a fun day full of exhibits, entertainment, and shows. The event will kick off with the Route 66 Patriot Cruise, a parade of veterans and classic cars cruising the road.
After the cruise, there will be a flag ceremony, and then everyone is invited to participate in the array of activities to follow. There will be patriotic pet shows, pin up contests, and classic cars on display. There will also be a traveling military exhibit with lots of interesting information. Kids can join in the festival fun in the Kid Zone, and there will be lots of delicious food and drinks available from food trucks.
The Annual Route 66 PatriotFest is set for Saturday, May 28, from 9:00am to 3:00pm, and free admission is open to all.
