Heightened Security Measures Implemented at Tulsa BOK Center
The next time you’re going to the BOK Center for a concert or sporting event, come a little early. The BOK Center is increasing its security measures, and everyone who enters will now have to pass through metal detectors. There will also be a bag check upon entry, with both measures intended to reduce security threats inside the venue.
Thirty new metal detectors are being installed, and any bags being brought into the arena will be examined one at a time. Bags much not exceed the size of 13 inches by 15 inches by 6 inches. All bags exceeding those dimensions will not be allowed inside. Those without bags can use a separate line of entry to speed up the process.
More security workers will be on duty during every event. They will be checking bags for restricted or banned items. Medical-related items and service dogs are allowed, but weapons are not.
Artists and events coordinators will also have new guidelines when it comes to their safety.
