River West Festival Park Set to Open for This Year’s Tulsa Oktoberfest
The River West Festival Park is one of the major venues in Tulsa for large events like ONEOK FreedomFest and Oktoberfest. As the end of the year draws near, the park is rushing to complete its major renovations this week in order to be ready for Oktoberfest, which is just a few weeks away. The German-themed festival will be celebrating its 37th year in Tulsa on October 21st, and River West Festival Park will be hosting the event.
Since last year, the park has been closed for renovations and improvements. According to park officials, there have been major plumbing and electrical improvements to the park’s facilities. There will be a new stage, a new trail, more storage facilities, more restrooms, and expanded parking areas. Kids will also enjoy more playground equipment.
A ribbon cutting will be held this Friday morning to officially open the River West Festival Park and kick off Scotfest, which will be September 18th-20th.
