Jazz Pianist Steven Schrag to Perform at Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame
Looking for something to do this weekend after the New Year’s Eve festivities have calmed down? This Sunday, January 4th, jazz pianist, Steven Schrag, will be performing his popular cool jazz sounds at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame in Downtown Tulsa.
Schrag, a Texas native, is a popular mainstay in the Tulsa jazz scene. He performs in shows and jam sessions around town, and has several standing gigs, including every Wednesday at noon at Jazzwich. One of his most notable concerts was a show dedicated to the original work of Oscar Pettiford with David Amram, a legendary composer and musician. He also headlined the Dave Brubeck Memorial Tribute Concert in December 2013.
Schrag’s performance on Sunday is a part of the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame’s 2014-2015 Winter Concert Series. General admission tickets are available for $15.00, and the concert starts at 5:00pm.
