Appassionata Duo Concert in Tulsa
The Appassionata Viola and Harp Duo of Tulsa has gained much notoriety and popularity in recent years, and this Sunday, July 20th, it will be performing at the Public Radio Tulsa-sponsored Summerstage Festival of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust.
The Appassionata was formed by Tulsa Symphony Orchestra musicians Jeff Cowen and Jill Wiebe in 2010, and it merges classical compositions with rock classics, creating a unique and eclectic listening experience. The amazing duo keeps audiences awed by mixing up famous melodies and creating unusual combinations, such as Guns N’ Roses with Debussy. Their pieces are performed in a way that bring both elegance and modern appeal to each concert.
